Confessions of a High Paid Tutor!

August 30th, 2010

My name is Kasey Hammond and I am writing to celebrate my success in finding the perfect career for me.

I was killing myself over a job in which I was giving everything I had. As a Spanish major, I didn’t have very much business savvy and was eager to get into the market. This company was eager to hire me as I spoke fluent Spanish and they were looking to launch into the Mexican market.

After two and a half years, I did make it to one of the higher positions in the company but there was no where else to go & I was tired of working away for my rich boss and giving him all of my time and energy.

As I became disenchanted, I made of list of things I liked about my job… and the things I hated. I quickly realized that I was a servant to my job and hated it!

IT WAS TIME TO MAKE A DECISION!

While I didn’t like everyone I worked with (I am sure you can relate), I realized I have patience and a willingness to help people and want them to succeed. During this “soul searching” of mine, a close friend happened to tell me about the tutoring business and how she was working part time for a company. And the best part was she was making more money per hour than me and worked whenever she wanted to!

It was as if someone turned a light on for me! I realized I could be a tutor!

Being a tutor had all the benefits that I was looking for… and of course the great money making potential.

Now I don’t work 50 hours a week and come home exhausted, grumpy & still carrying around the grief from the current office b.s! Instead I come home energized and with the fulfillment that I have made a difference for someone.

Not only do I view my customers as clients but they are truly friends. I love getting emails or Christmas cards from past students or parents who are just checking in to say hi and give me an update on them.

But unfortunately, it wasn’t always this easy. I made several mistakes early on that still make me cringe!

It took me awhile, but I now have my business on auto-pilot and enjoy having clients begging me to be on my waiting list and happily paying my premium rates to work with their children.

Tutoring is a career that allows you to design your day around YOUR schedule and work however long or short as you want each day! (This is great when I have to run errands or be there for my family when they need me!)

I decided to publish an E-book detailing how to start your own tutoring business. I wish I had had this when I was starting my own business! It would have saved me some money and some grief!

My ebook gives you the secret to getting paid UPFRONT for multiple sessions before you even spend one minute actually working! (Your clients will be happy to write you a check for 300, 400, even up to 500 before you even get started!)

The little known trick to getting teachers to refer all their struggling students to you directly! (This is a little sneaky but works incredibly well!)

How to stay super busy in the so called slow summer months and actually make more than the busy school months. (This is optional only if you want… or vacation and take your summers off!)

The #1 blunder new tutors make – turns clients off like crazy – and how to avoid it.

How to market your services online with your own website and have clients calling you to get started! (You’ll love getting phone calls with people ready to send you a check!)

Works with any subject – Even the less popular subjects… it doesn’t matter! My system puts money in your pocket whether you’re tutoring students who need help with Spanish, History, Chemistry, Math, German, or any other subject!

2 Ways to find your first tutoring student even when you don’t know anybody.

I made this easy for anyone to use. Once you understand how to use the same tutoring system and techniques that I use, you’ll realize that you don’t need any more special skills besides your specialized knowledge to get amazing results.

Tutoring is a wonderful career for so many people. It allows so much flexibility and the ability to make an hourly rate that truly equals what you are worth. You choose where you want to work, you determine your availability, the people you want to work with., your hourly rate and you choose the subject you want to teach! The time is right for you to reach out and start your own tutoring business and make a difference in someones life.

Choosing A Name For Your Company… That Makes Sense…

August 23rd, 2010

One of the most important things your company needs is a name. Your name will be the very first thing that almost all of your customers see from you — long before they meet you, they’ll have responded to something (or someone) that told them the name of your business.

So What?

So, if you’re planning on running a professional operation, don’t call it ‘A1 Supplies’ just because you want to be listed first in the phone book. You have to pick a name that says something about you and your business, and that people in your target market will be able to say without feeling stupid.

The Professional Name.

If you’re running a serious business targeted at other businesspeople, you’ll probably want to keep the name sober, but memorable. A good formula is your surname, followed by what you do: ‘Smithfield Tailoring’, or ‘Watson Engineering’. You might also want to add the name of the town where you live: ‘Watson Engineering Anytown’. Little things can make a big difference: ‘Watson & Associates Engineering’ or ‘Watson Engineering Co.’ both sound quite good, for example. Don’t use your first name, though — it sounds terribly amateurish. Would you rather deal with Ted’s Office Supplies or the Johansson Office Supplies Co.?

Another approach is to leave out your name altogether, and simply become ‘Anytown Engineers’ or ‘The Anytown Engineering Co.’. This makes you sound like the first choice locally, especially if your main competitor has the name of another town nearby in their name.

The Corporate Name.

They sound quite bad, I reckon, but there’s a still a place for them — mainly if you want to deal with the big companies that this kind of name appeals to. Simply think of a word to describe your business and translate it into Latin. Then add the word “Consulting”, if you want.

The Trendy Name.

If you’re going for a more young or technology-savvy market, you might want a less formal name. Names of this form should be kept to one word, and preferably written in lowercase, URL-style. Another common trick is to make ‘.com’ part of the name. Notice the difference between ‘Fun House’ and ‘funhouse.com’ — the Fun House doesn’t sound all that much fun, does it?

The Playful Name.

You’ll be surprised how many people will love your name if you just decide to name it after an animal, and use that animal in your logo too. If you don’t have much of a marketing budget, this is a good way to get a quick brand identity — if you choose the panda, for example, then people start associating you with pandas, and you can have panda-pattern designs on your stationery and decorate your office with bamboo. Don’t underestimate the power of this, seriously.

The Shortened Name.

One naming method that seems to be especially well-used by the big hitters is to take two words that describe your business, shorten them both, and make it one word. So you end up with Fedex (Federal Express), or Microsoft (Microcomputer Software). This is good for suggesting what you do without having an overly lengthy name.

The Random Name.

If all else fails, a great way to make up a name is to just string together sounds that you like until you come up with a made-up word. This can be a surprisingly good way to come up with a name — and it will be completely unique.

Make It Easy.

Whatever you do, though, make sure your business’ name is easy to pronounce and spell. If your surname is hard to say, don’t use it. If people seem to have trouble spelling a made-up word, come up with something easier. You’ll lose out on an enormous amount of word-of-mouth business if people have to write your name down just to communicate it to each other.

Check for Others.

Once you’ve got some ideas, make sure you check that no-one else is already using them. It will be expensive to get halfway through starting up a company only to find that the name you wanted is already taken. Also, you’ll have trouble establishing any kind of Internet prescence with an over-used name, if that was part of your plan — if your name is too common, you won’t stand a chance of getting yourname .com.

Byte by Byte My Netizens, Byte by Byte

August 16th, 2010

Like the Roman caesar Hadrian once said while building the Roman Empire, brick by brick my citizens, brick by brick, the same concept can be applied to starting and building an online busiess. However, one can add a little twist to it and apply it to online business to say byte by byte my netizens, byte by byte.

What does that mean?

With the monumental task of building the Roman Empire, one can be sure that Hadrian offered those words to the roman citizens as a way of telling them not to focus too much on the big picture but rather look at it in a way that it can be accomplished and that would be simply brick by brick. One can imagine that the size of the task would be large enough to make most say, no way, it cannot be done!

The same holds true with the momumental task of starting and building an online business. There are many things, some easy, some complicated, that one must accomplish before they are prepared to successfully launch and build an online business.

For smaller operations where individuals have to wear all of the hats, the amount of information they have to deal with generally can result in burn out or simply put, information overload. One can focus too much on the big picture and then feel overwhelmed by it all. Again, the thought would be , no way, it cannot be done.

The fact that we are now living in the information era also adds to the problem. It has gotten to the point where there is just way too much information being offered to people all at once for the average individual to be able to deal with effectively.

So what can be done to help start and build your e-business in smaller more manageable chunks?

The following are some guidelines that can help you build it byte by byte:

1) Make a whole hearted commitment to complete all of your daily tasks:

Before you begin your days work make a commitment to yourself that you will complete what is necessary and avoid what is not. Do not approach your work with a wishy washy attitude such as I will try to get it done and if not, oh well! That attitude is an surefire ingredient for failure.

Instead say to yourself I will complete my tasks not matter what it takes! Above all else stick to your commitment or dont make it in the first place. Come back and make it when you can.

2) Prioritize Your Tasks:

After you have made a commitment and are ready to start work on your business, know beforehand the things that you want to accomplish and place them in order of importance. Above all else when working on your tasks, do not move onto the next one unless you absolutely must until you have completed the current task. If not, you can be certain that things will tend to get lost and forgotten about.

3) Stay focused:

It is recommended that you write your daily tasks down and keep them in front of you where they are easily seen at all times. This will help you stay focused on the subject matter at hand and keep you from drifting to things that are not related directly to the work you are doing.

4) Excute:

Once your commitment has been made and you have written down your prioritized tasks, simply go to work and get the job done! Do not allow anything to get in your way of completing your tasks. That anything can be certain fears you may have about the possible outcome of a certain task. Do not allow self-induced fears turn into mental monsters! Reign in the monsters and just get the job done!

It is a known fact that most day to day tasks take less time to actually do then the amount of time people spend negatively thinking about them. So do not think too much about it! Just executeexecuteexcute!

5) Do not allow yourself to get overwhelmed:

With the amount of tasks that seem to have a need to get done all at once, it is no wonder why many fail. There is one feeling that will defeat a good spirit and that is the feeling of being overwhelmed. If you feel yourself getting to that point, stop and take a walk or do whatever it is that will help you take your mind off of your work. Remind yourself with a good feeling that when all is done you will be that much closer to obtaining your goals but most importantly just simply relax your mind.

Finally, if you are brand new or have been struggling to build an online business and the feeling of it being just too much is upon you, know that there is plenty of free help available to you so make sure that you use it. Also remember to apply the above guidelines of making a commitment to complete your daily tasks, prioritizing them, focusing on them, and simply relaxing your mind and that will go a long way in helping you build what you may believe is the un-buildable.

Buying On Hand Pool Toys as Pool Accessories

August 9th, 2010

Many times pool accessories are pool toys. If you are a pool owner, you be able to benefit from having extra pool toys on hand.

When most individuals think of swim toys beach balls are often the first thing that comes to mind. While beach balls are a popular pool toy, they are not the only pool toys that are available. In fact, some items that you may not even consider to be a toy are actually known as pool toys. The reality is that swim toys encompass a wide variety of different pool accessories; many of which you may not have even thought of before.

As previously mentioned, pool toys often add more excitement to a traditional swim. That is why a large number of pool owners have them. While pool toys are ideal for children, they are enjoyed by many. The truth is that you do not have to be a child to enjoy playing with a swim ring, beach ball, or floating chair. In fact, there are some swim toys that can also be used for relaxation purposes.

In addition to adding excitement or relaxation to your swim, you may also be able to benefit from always having swim toys on hand incase you receive visitors. Whether you plan a pool party or you just invite over a few friends, they may enjoy using the swim toys that you have on hand. This means that even though you may not enjoy playing with swim toys yourself, your pool guests may.

Another reason why you may be able to benefit from having swim toys on hand is that they can make for some fun games. Many swim toys are sold individually, but others can be buyd together, often as a set. Most swim toy sets are a game. These games may include volleyball, basketball, badminton, or others.

If you are interested in making your next swim more exciting, you may want to start searching for swim toys. The good thing about swim toys is that they can be buyd from a wide variety of different locations. These locations may include online retail stores, department stores, discount stores, pool supply stores, and even pound stores. Where you can buy pool toys from will likely depend on what type of pool toys you are looking for. For instance, a basketball hoop is a fairly large buy; therefore, they may not be available in pound stores or discount stores, but you should be able to find them elsewhere.

With pool toys readily available and available at a reasonable price, there really isnt any reason why you shouldnt want to have, at least a few, swim toys on hand.

Building Efficient Horse Barns

August 2nd, 2010

Future champions deserve royal treatment. Someone who helps you in your work needs must be treated the same as well. So why put your horses in barns that are not liveable? But before moving them from their makeshift barns to the most expensive and priciest horse barns you could find, there’s a lot of things to consider. Well-structured, well-constructed horse barns are well-ventilated, light, roomy, comfortable to work and stay in. Top horseman and horse barn builder Champ Hough even suggests that horse barns should be as homey to your horses as your house feels like home to you. He shares several tips from over thirty horse barn building experience.

Hough suggests that before deciding on your plan, an appropriate site must be first decided. By appropriate, it means a site that would give your horse barns the much-needed air circulation and proper drainage. This would prevent epidemics within your barn. A good site would also provide your barn easy access to utilities, your driveway, or the road. Hough recommends orienting barns with these in mind. For aesthetic purposes, keep useful but unsightly features like the manure bin or can far from roads and your house but near your barn. Delivery docks and ramps should also be situated in the same manner. He also reminds builders not to mix delivery and horse traffic for less inconvenience. In doing barn layouts, Hough shares his trick. He suggests minimizing steps or the distance between barn workstations literally. This means that water stations, feeding stations, and grooming stations must be within reach or near each other. He also recommends, confining or isolating potentially messy areas like stalls and bathing areas to reduce dirt in the general barn. Clustering stalls is a good option.

Horse barns are usually built with 12 ft aisles but Hough insist that it is better if you give your barn aisles another couple of feet. This will enable machinery to enter the barn, and will give horses and caretakers ample room to maneuver inside. A wider doorway will also let in more light and improve air circulation. Installing screens on windows and sliding doors will reduce fly population while installing exhaust fans would let hot air out to be replaced by cooler air. Hough suggest the use of pavers and asphalt on horse barn floors for better drainage. Plus, these materials are easier on your horses’ legs.In time, you’ll get the benefit of having less vet bills, less upkeep and maintenance costs, and an increase in property value. With proper horse barns, your horses will be healthier, breed better, and have champion quality offsprings.

Builders Cleans A Lucrative Market For Commercial Cleaners

July 26th, 2010

With office cleaning becoming an increasingly competitive market for contract cleaning companies they must diversify or move into a niche market if they wish to continue to grow. One niche market that is not so competitive is that of builders clean. The number of companies that offer a good, high quality service to the construction industry is relatively small. So for small to medium sized firms it is well worth considering entering this market.

In order to succeed the company must be prepared to come out of the safe environment of office cleaning which provides a regular and consistent income but at relatively low profit margins and take a leap into the world of uncertainty. You can build up a group of builders that you clean for but the work can still be spasmodic and irregular. You could go for the large house building companies where a project might extend over two years and carry out three or sometimes four cleans on each dwelling. For these you do have to be prepared to reduce your profits for the security of constant work because they actually pay less than other types of construction but still require the same high standard of cleaning.

To gain credibility in the industry you have to be prepared to work with the builder and meet their requirements. Their requirements are under time constraints and the cleaners are generally the last contractors to be brought into a project. Very few projects run smoothly to the planned programme therefore quite often as a cleaning contractor you must be prepared to alter your schedules and react quickly to changes in the plan. Sometimes with only 24 hours notice. This can cause problems in staffing a particular clean. So you and the workforce must be prepared to be very flexible.

It is also not uncommon to turn up on a site to carry out a clean to find a whole variety of sub contractors still at work and nothing ready to clean. Although frustrating it is all part and parcel of getting into the world of builders cleans.

In order to succeed you must firstly maintain a high standard in your cleaning if you wish to be called back to do other cleans by the contracting company and secondly you must be prepared to be incredibly flexible and meet demands that come in at short notice. Once you have proved your worth to a building company they will call you in to complete all their cleans. Each clean is quite profitable so it is well worth the time and trouble put in to developing the right contacts and putting together a good team of cleaners who are prepared to be very flexible in when and where they work. If you do not have a pool of cleaners that you can call on easily and quickly then you will end up finding it difficult to cover builders cleans when they come in thick and fast!

Bespoke Wallpaper

July 19th, 2010

Wallpaper has been around for hundreds of years, and yet people claim that there has been very little advancement in wallpaper. At the surface it might seem like a remark that seems true, but the truth is far from it, wallpaper has evolved from the really old looking red and white stripe paper, to a work of art that can adorn your home, or your work place. There are more or less no limits to the colours, variations and styles you can choose from, the best part is, contrary to popular belief wallpaper has evolved and changed as time has gone by, and they are no longer just another thing you put on your walls.

Just like art and fashion has evolved, so have the various styles of wallpaper, earlier wallpaper was made to resemble the various tapestry styles, as fashion style and taste of people evolved, the wall papers became more and more diverse. Just like clothing, technology and so many other things today, wallpaper has now come to reflect the taste and moods of a home owner. With the numerous advances in technology, the method of printing wallpaper too has advanced, earlier massive offset printers, or block printers were used to manufacture wallpaper, where as today more and more people are turning to digitally printed wallpaper for their homes.

Today wallpaper is classified based on the commercial application, and is divided into two categories commercial and home use wallpaper

Commercial Wallpaper

Commercial wallpaper is usually printed on thicker, and more resistant paper. Since commercial wallpaper (as the name suggests) is used in retail outlets, hotels, discos etc. The wallpaper has certain health and safety specifications that it must meet like being fire resistant etc. Apart from the health and safety requirements, there are additional requirements like being easy to clean, dust and dirt resistant etc. What has made commercial wallpaper making an entirely different section, is that more often than not commercial wallpaper involves customization like having a company logo printed or having custom designs, this is where having a digitally printed wallpaper comes in handy, as the imagery that is produced using digitally printed wallpaper is far superior when compared to wallpaper printed using traditional methods.

Wallpaper for home use

The earliest and oldest application of wallpaper is for home use, wallpaper for home use is by no way inferior to commercial wallpaper, as it too has to meet strict quality control guidelines, however the added advantage that wallpaper for home use has is that, it is easier to apply when compared to commercial wallpaper, and in addition you can have multiple wallpaper in the same home (compare this to commercial establishments where the wallpaper is uniform throughout). Just like commercial wallpaper, digitally printed wallpaper is available for home users also, the biggest benefactors of digitally printed wall paper have been home owners, who can now either get custom wallpaper with a particular design built, or can choose to adorn their home walls with some of the greatest works of art ever made. The choices that wallpaper today has bought to home owners is just mind boggling, and all it takes to get customized wallpaper made is a photograph or image of your design.

Asset Protection!

July 5th, 2010

First of all, Bullet proof Asset protection strategy started with a privacy oriented tax haven jurisdiction. Private oriented tax haven jurisdiction prevents no tax to be paid for offshore capital gains or derived income.

With the offshore banking, it is easy to set up asset protection and bank secrecy. Bank secrecy also prevents its own employees, director or officer to divulge any personal information or files, bank statements connected to any bank account holder. With Panama offshore bank there are strong secrecy laws that allows the victim to file a lawsuit if any kind of misuse of subject of use is done by violating terms and conditions against not only the persons responsible for the privacy violation but it is also done with the employees of the bank or the bank itself if they are part of the violation. With strong terms and conditions of Panama bank it is hard to release any information or leak of personal information is hard to take place.

Panama bank secrecy law releases the secrecy of records in some case where the victim cannot file a law suit and that is within the criminal interventions of the victim themselves than in USA, EU most private detectives have no trouble tracing any record from the bank, without the information to the bank employees, and in that case, the detectives are not in trouble or have never been heard of getting persecuted.

Well, there is one other asset protection named Piercing asset protection structures and for that court order is required to get the asset protection corporate veil pierced. The court order regarding a trust, a corporation, a bank account or foundation is required or must for that. Such court orders are usually reserved for the serious criminal offences or matters like terrorism or narcotics etc. Civil matters from countries outside of the jurisdiction do not have to go through a court order for information.

The offshore privacy taxes have the best terms and make sure that they do not lose their customers and so they often avoid the foreign creditors to collect any assets in the banks of their customers country.

Asset protection and taxes of offshore Panama bank are well structured and definitely are in favor of their customers. Panama offshore bank makes all that is possible to eliminate any unwanted problems or thefts for its customers. They are also in terms of having jurisdiction that does not charge taxation of income at all; this eliminated filing requirements within the country where the offshore bank is located. A good example of that is of individuals or companies that do not carry activities outside Panamanian territory and do not obtain any income from the Panamanian source, are only subjected to the payment of fixed annual tax of 300 US pounds.

Foundations are an approach to wrap on the layer of privacy laws over the ownership of the corporation. As the trust or foundation is in one country and the corporation is in a different country while the bank account is in the third country. The use of foundation with S.A Panama Corporation is a powerful asset protection strategy.

Are you Starving for Success?

June 28th, 2010

This is something I learned from a guy in Louisiana. I worked with him in a different business way back when…

I learned a ton from this guy whether he knew it or not…it’s too bad he is not successful in business yet, because he really has some good insight.

I brought it up that you need to want success…want a business that will earn you profits.

We spoke of hobbies, and how we need to treat our business like a business! and how a hobby never pays the bills, they only cost money.

SO WHAT’S THE SECRET?

It all comes back to having that “dream” or a reason why. But it’s more than that…

It’s hunger; you need to be hungry. Be starving for success. You know when you can’t focus on anything else except that need to eat? You start getting the shakes and you need it. Now bring that feeling and transfer it to your business.

So you need to be hungry. And the insight that this young guy had was a one liner, and picture this in a Louisiana accent; “well there are times you could eat…but you are not necessarily ‘hungry’.” well how huge is that?!?

I say it all the time, that I learn from you guys as much as you learn from me! That was one of those AHA moments.

Of course, we could all eat a little bit of success, but are we hungry?

So, now every time I look at my business and think to myself “it’s just not growing as fast as I want” (which, if you are like me, is never fast enough). I need to ask, “am I still hungry?” And every single time I can answer no. I have become comfortable where I am at.

This brings me to another quote. “Success is found outside our comfort zone.” Think about that! If you want to be better than you are now, you need to look beyond yourself and expand. Whether it be physically, mentally, spiritually or financially. You need to stretch yourself beyond where you are now.

So if you are having a tough time getting into action; you look at yourself in the mirror and ask if you just need a bite of success, or if you want the 5 course meal!

So this week:
-Get hungry!
-Dream big!
-Develop your WHY!
-Be starving for success!

To our success,
Jay Kanik
